Sunday November 29, Elizabeth Chapel hosted a combined service with another local church. "Better Together" service is what we like to call it. Vinton Baptist Church joined our Sunday evening service November 29, 2015. The praise band from VBC led worship and a message was given through VBC Discipleship Pastor John Mollohan. Hebrews 10:24-25 says - And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. - Stirring each other to love and good works and meeting together as we see the day drawing near. Our "Better Together" services help us to focus on what really matters: Worshiping our God together! Keep an eye out on the Elizabeth Chapel Facebook page and online church calendar for announcements about our "Better Together" services. |

Blessed are the Peacemakers...Matthew 5:9 (ESV) Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. KEY verse from the youth program for November 11, 2015. The youth program is currently working its way through the beatitudes. The Wednesday Night Youth Program at Elizabeth Chapel Church has undergone some serious change for the 2015 school year. Our Wednesday night is structured like a short day at school and includes a Bible lesson, an activity, a snack, and collective worship. Wednesday night youth is open to all children preschool age through seniors in high school. The Pre-K and Kindergarten have their own classes. The first through sixth grade have are split up as follows: 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th. The junior high and high school age kids have their own Wednesday night service on the 3rd floor. The 7th through 12th graders will occasionally be split up into junior high and senior high groups and have separate lessons. We invite you to bring your children to Wednesday night youth. We are looking forward to what God does this year through our youth ministry. In addition to our Wednesday night youth program, Elizabeth Chapel also has a Wednesday Night Adult Bible Study for those of us that are not "school age". Both the Wednesday Night Youth Program and Adult Bible Study start at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

Playing catch up here, Sunday November 1, 2015 was Teen Sunday. The 7th through 12th grade youth lead our morning worship service. The teens participated in leading scripture reading, leading worship, demonstrations, a little comedy, and solo signers. The morning message was brought by our youth leader Seth Montgomery.
1 Timothy 4:12-16 (NKJV) Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
